St James’ hold annual fundraiser
On a dreary Saturday morning, 20 brave challengers stepped up to the challenge for their club. This was, indeed, not for the faint hearted.
Hoisted way up into the Belfast sky, by a crane in a small metal bucket, the challengers had the unenviable task of putting their lives in the hands of a thin wire to carry them the across the Belfast river.

Hide AdAfter the initial nerve tingling few moments before the jump, all of the challengers completed the task.
Club chairman, Liam Taggart said, “It was quite nerve wracking at the start but once I got going it was plain sailing. Although the club’s Saffron Ogs mentor, Jennifer Magee, was heard shouting ‘Never again, never again.’”
