Next Saturday is John Parkes’ Presidents Day at the club
The highlight of the day will be the final of the President’s Prize, a fourball matchplay tournament, which started away back in the month of May.

Kevin McKay and Brian Grimes won last year but their handicaps have come down considerably since then. They will find Tom Gillespie and Shane Rooney a tough nut to crack.
Andrew Quinn and Barry Casey are full of confidence but they will need more than confidence to get the better of Ken Stevenson and Jim Mallon.
Who will line up in the final? I wouldn’t dare predict.
