Rathfriland FC mourn the passing of a great friend of the club
Over the years, there has been a great connection between Warrenpoint and Rathfriland in many ways but none more so than in the footballing fraternity.
Trevor and two of his brothers played for Rathfriland for years in those good old days andeveryone at the club have fond memories of the brothers, along with team-mates such as Quinn, Magowan, Clydesdale, Paul, Gracey, Bennett, Robb, etc gracing the Iveagh Park turf.

The Weir family have been part of Rathfriland FC’s football family for over 35 years with Trevor serving as a faithful, committed and diligent Club Secretary for 25 of those years.
The day this Warrenpoint family joined the club was Rathfriland’s gain and no one exemplified that more than their supporter and friend Sammy Weir.
