Police warn of distraction thefts
At around 2pm on Monday, May 3, a group of people described as being foreign nationals went into a shop on Ballymena’s Queen Street.
The group comprised four women and a man, and while some distracted a member of staff, a woman went into a rear store and stole money from a desk.
The gang left the shop in a grey Vauxhall Omega.

Hide AdThen on Wednesday, May 5, at about 3pm, a group of four woman and two men went into an off-licence at Point Street in Larne and while some distracted a staff member, a woman went into a back room and stole money.
Police are investigating whether the same gang was involved in both incidents.
In both cases, at least one of the women appeared to be pregnant.
