Larne WI president re-elected
Thanks was expressed to Mrs Tracey McIlwaine, Executive member, and her helpers for conducting the election.
Both the financial and annual reports were proposed and seconded as accurate.

Hide AdThe year began with the delightful news that the Larne institute was runner-up in the Institute of the Year competition.
When the AGM business was complete, a number of prizes were awarded.
Carole Houston won the Competition Cup for the person accumulating the most points at the monthly competitions. The Friendship Cup was won by Frances Hamilton and for achieving the most points at the area competitions, Christine Keating was awarded the Ballycarry Vase.
Isobel Clark won the Briggs picture for her pin-cushion. The monthly competition for a ‘dainty jug’ was won by Madge Mc Connell; 2nd. Barbara Donaghy, and 3rd, Christine Keating.
Before the singing of the “Countrywoman’s Song”, the president expressed her thanks to all, with special thanks expressed to Olive Nelson for accompanying the ladies on the piano throughout the year.
