Ladies’ night at Bailies
The evening was also the garage’s first ladies-only ‘how to do it’ motor evenings.
The relaxed evening provided women drivers with the knowledge and skill required to carry out small maintenance tasks such as changing wheels and checking oil.

Hide AdGuests on the night were also given self defence demonstrations by Jonathan Cooke from the Kookateki Judo Club, while Glengormley salon, Heavenly Beauty offered beauty treatments.
Funds were raised for the Mayor’s three charities: The Alzheimer’s Society, Epilepsy NI and Reach.
Bailies is part of the female-friendly garage network, the Foxy Lady Drivers Club
Husband-and-wife team Stephen and Lisa Bailie are committed to providing a service for women.

Hide AdThis includes collecting a vehicle within the Newtownabbey area, taking it for MOT, providing free tea or coffee while waiting for a vehicle and offering assistance to local customers if their car breaks down at home.
During the summer months, the garage is also offering a voucher for Heavenly Beauty with a car service.
