Gilkinson 'disgusted' at Planning decision

A FORMER Mayor says he is "disgusted" at a Planning decision for Portrush.

Cllr Sandy Gilkinson expressed his opposition to the Planning Service's decision to approve the retention of a dwelling at the rear of 9 Hopefield Avenue, Portrush.

Cllr Gilkinson questioned the decision at last Tuesday's Planning Committee meeting because of the restricted access in to the site.

"I don't know how lorries are going to get down this lane. I am absolutely disgusted that Planners have approved this application," he said.

Cllr Christine Alexander agreed and claimed that this approved access route was originally refused in the first set of plans.
