Warning after suspicious call at pensioner’s home
It is reported that at approximately 2pm, an unknown male called at the home of the woman stating that he was there to check houses in the area.
Believing that the man was a tradesperson sent to repair an out of order boiler, the woman granted him access to the house.

Hide AdThe man, described as being in his late 20s or early 30s, was of slim build, clean shaven, with dirty fair, short hair and wearing a light coloured jacket, trousers and a jumper.
He walked around the house but was asked to leave when the woman became suspicious.
Speaking of the incident, Detective Sergeant Chris Millar, said: “Bogus callers depend on the good nature and good will of others.
“They tend to target the more vulnerable members of our society and in particular, older members of our community. It is always advisable to be cautious of unexpected callers.
