Crime slightly down in Mid & East Antrim
From 1 April, 2015 to 31 March, 2016, crime decreased by 131 incidents, from 5696 incidents to 5565, compared to the same period in the previous year.
In addition, the crime outcome rate rose from 28.2 percent to 29.7 increase.

Hide AdMid and East Antrim District Commander, Superintendent Ryan Henderson, said: “The rise in our outcome rate means that 48 more crimes have been cleared during 2015/16 and that more people have received closure after being the victim of crime.
“We are pleased that we have driven down crime in Mid and East Antrim, particularly at a time when overall crime in the Province has increased however, we will not become complacent.
“The statistics tell us that we still have work to do in making our district safe. We will now use this statistical information to help inform our operational strategy for the year ahead.
“I would like to ask the community for their continued support. Information and productive partnerships will help us to continue to prevent, detect and deter crime throughout the District,” he said.
